About Us
The Regional Growth
Connection (RGC) is South Central Connecticut's transportation network offering
enhanced bus routes in the Greater New Haven area. The program makes it
possible for people to get to jobs in areas that were not served by public
transportation and has improved existing services by extending hours and
making some routes longer, offering greater flexibility and convenience.
Currently, RGC
provides enhanced services on CTTransit routes as well as on routes served
by Milford Transit District, the Estuary Transit District, and the
Middletown Transit District. Also, RGC provides service on demand response
routes of the Valley Transit District and the Meriden Transit District. RGC
contracts with the Greater New Haven Transit District to provide RGC
Shuttle service from downtown New
Haven to Old Saybrook and to employment locations
in Branford, Clinton and Westbrook.
However, RGC is more
than just buses. Other services are offered to help people get to work,
like the Auto Emergency Fund - which helps eligible individuals pay for
repairs and fees and Quick Response which assists job developers and career
counselors to provide transportation to interviews and career fairs.
